Default Cart works with keyswitch on or off

Checked micro-switch in accel . box . Switch ok . Keyswitch also ok . Why ?

Solenoid may be welded shut.. Using a voltmeter, check for power at the two large terminals on the solenoid.. With the key off, and the "Go" pedal in the idle position, you should only have power at one of the large terminals..

CC-John both terms. are hot . Solenoid was replaced because unit would not go fwd or rev . Since the it worked normally , but just now noticed key not making a diff .

Is the new solenoid a "Golf Cart" solenoid??? Automotive solenoids won't last, and can cause safety issues in golf carts..

Incorrect wiring. Get that diagram and inspect the wiring.
