Put my 2007 CC Precedent with 2010 T1275 in Storage Oct 9 2015. Was stored in building at the Campground with no heat in Western Pa. Removed from storage today May 21 2016.

I have noted many times on this forumn questions about long term storage just what to share my experience. Cart stored in an uhneaded building in western Pa. For 8 Months with Pos and Neg disconnected maintained 50 Volts.Batterys were charged just prior to storage water topped off about a week earlier.

Good to hear they survived the winter!
I did that same thing for 4 seasons with my 48V, and never had a problem with freezing!

Fully charged batteries will not freeze...but batteries do have a certain amount of internal draw...looks like you both got lucky...still recommend a Battery Minder if you have 110v power in the storage area.

There is a lot of things that get repeated so many times that people believe them.

So true!

I'm happy to say that my sparky experience with a fully charged pack,
and disconnecting the main positive and negative cables during the winter months served me well!
There were 2 main reasons why I chose this route...
1) My campsite always got snowed in, and they didn't plow, which made it difficult to check on things.
2) The campgrounds electrical was "iffy" at best... I didn't trust ANYTHING plugged in while unattended for 5 to 6 months! (or even 1 month!)
