hateful battery hold downs
i just spent 2 hrs replacing the bolts on my battery hold downs, what a hateful job
i bought new batteries 2 weeks ago and debated not running hold downs as i drive 100% on flat ground i figured $29 worth of bolts vs $700 in batteries, that i'd replace the bolts they have the Z bent ends and had to be inserted horizontally into the hole then rotated vertically wow, not easy with 1'' in between the batteries i ended up tying a string to balance each rod in the center lowered each rod into the space to insert each rod in the hole i don't know why a shop would take this job on without charging $150 plus parts i drank a couple well deserved mickeys afterwords |

Re: hateful battery hold downs
They key to making this an easier job is putting the bolts in when only some of the pack is installed. Then adding the rest of the batteries but, you got it and the refreshments... so enjoy the satisfaction of knowing the batteries are in and secure
