Default NASA Tug

i recently purchased an old Tug used by NASA. it has Mckinley on the name plate yet looks much like other industrial carts. it has an ev-10 scr controler and a built in charger. it has 6 8 volt trojen Batt but says 36 volts on th tag and charger.. i dont know if they were put in by the previous owner or Nasa but it seems it might run on either etc...
it has 3 solinoids 1 appears to be for fwd, one for reverse and the other for a negitive bat source as it is not set up to ground to the vehicle. It has a ford truck rear end. Anyway, is there a forum for this? The motor is like a huge golfcart motor used in forklifts so pretty much the same.
Is it possible they used 48 volt batteries with a 36 volt system as everything is heavy duty! also the solinoids are flat square with contact points.. can the newer enclosed ones work in place? how can i determine the voltage of these solinoids? im not sure if i should replace the batt with six volt or 8 .... any advice is welcome! note the taylor dunn carts on you tube look very much the same including the diamond plate metal and same brand of built in charger.

Do they look like these contactors?

FSIP owns GE's EV division now. They work on the SCR panels. They also still build the GE contactors so they can likely get you replacements.

Do you have any photos of this vehicle? I'm rather curious.
