Default Quick question, batteries show 3 amp charge

now lately. These were new 8 volt batteries this last summer. This doesn't sound serious. i don't think.. My powerdrive battery charger, .I gets hooked up after each time- i use the cart..It gets put in the garage after each time i use it..I drive it in. It always went down to zero charge,in day or so. Lately! i have been watching the charger. It goes from higher rate of uncharged ...back down to a steady 3 amp charge, needle stops there.Never gets back to zero completely, Looked @ the batteries today. One of them has water laying on top of it.Out of one of the cells-water running acrossed it... One of the middle 2 batteries. I wiped off the top of the leaking one.Is this normal to happen or is one of these new batteries ..giving up on me already??....happy Memorial day all. If i can say it that way? bob s

yes batteries will gas and can bubble water out ... always check water after charging and only fill to 1/4 " over plates
let charger run til it turns off

you would have to take readings after 12hrs rest to see
take pack voltage then each battery
post back results
here is a chart to go by

Mine is a 48v with the 4 12v batteries. It seems to be fine , but mine does the same thing. Cuts off at 4 amp. I thought it used to go all the way to zero but not anymore. I had my dealer check it out and he said it was fine. Should i be concerned.

Could be as simple as the amp meter in the face of the charger is no longer accurate; has the charger been dropped or is it old?

One very simple test to do is check what your standing pack voltage is after the charger has turned off and the pack has rested close to 12 hours? Your hoping to see close to 50.93 volts, if you see 50.47 or more volts stop worrying. If you see less report back and we go from there....
