New cables will deliver all that your old batteries have left in them. When replacing cables, unhook the main Pos & Neg first - then replace the others one-by-one so you are certain not to accidentally shortcut or bypass one. Put main Pos. & Neg. on as your last step. Also - when undoing the motor stud cables - use two wrenches holding the lower nut still - to prevent you from accidentally spinning the motor studs - and tearing up the inside motor connections. If you spin either of those studs while removing or installing - you will do damage and make yourself "sad".

The main pos and neg cables don't go directly to the motor. The pos goes to the passenger side solenoid and the neg goes into the left side of what I believe to be the controller. There are other cables that go from he controller to the motor, should I be replacing All of those with 4g cables?

I wasn't suggesting the Pos & Neg go directly to the motor - only that they need to be disconnected before undertaking any/all electrical work to your cart. Only the LARGE 6 ga. cables need to be upgraded. Eg. there are two 10 ga. wires that also go to your motor F1 & F2 - those do not need replacement unless they are cut/damaged or obviously degraded.

So, I installed all new 4 gauge cables, now my charger doesn't ant to stay on more than 5 minutes at a time? I drove the cart around about 10 minutes after installing the cables to see any changes, seemed to have a tad if any more pep up hills, but went to put in the charger and it would click off a few minutes later...what the heck?

Are you sure that you got your red charging lead hooked up to the correct battery?

I'm not 100% sure I know what o.b.c. Is. What I did was, I replaced 1 cable at a time as not to mix anything up. Could it be possible my charger was getting wrong signals if and because my stock cables were bad? And now that I installed new better cables it's telling the charger my batteries are full? (Even tho like I said my batteries r pretty weak)

The main negative cable from battery 6 goes through the on board computer obc, to the controller behind the battery wall. Or did you just change the cables on the batteries.

Here's a photo of a fairly typical OBC - it looks like a fancy wire loom on a flat aluminum plate. But its not - the main negative cable passes thru the center of it (as shown in the photo) - and tells the charger how much current to apply during charging. If you routed your main negative cable around it, the charger has no idea what to pump into the batteries. Hopefully you just forgot to run through it, and didn't do something crazy/expensive like drilling it out so the bigger cable would pass through! Changing to larger cables alone can't change how your batteries charge. Something else is amiss.
