Default convertor wiring

Ok, Guys

I bought this convertor off of Amazon. it came with no wiring instructions
Amazon.com: One Golf Cart DC Converter 36V - 60V to 12V Step Down Reducer 30A: Automotive Amazon.com: One Golf Cart DC Converter 36V - 60V to 12V Step Down Reducer 30A: Automotive

it has 2 pigtails coming out of convertor

First Pigtail has 3 wires
1 - Red Fused wire (Assuming to positive on battery)
1 - Red with White strip wire (possibly Key ignition)
1 - Black Wire (Ground)

Other Pig tail
1 - Yellow Wire (Feed to 12V)?
1 - Black Wire (Ground)?

I know I should have bought this from Scotty B.. But I had a Gift Card I was using to buy led lights so I added it in.

Could any of you help me with what goes where?

Using a little Googlefu;

Red - 48v positive (input) (+)pack
Blue- 48v negative (input) (-)pack
Orange - 48v key on switch (+) (input)
Yellow - 12v positive (output) to accessories or fuse block
Black - 12v negative (output) to ground or bus bar

I'd also suggest using this to make wiring weather proof and easier in the future.

Are you sure the link you provided is the same reducer you have? It shows a blue and orange wire.

Disclaimer: I know nothing about this product. I would disregard my advice completely as some random guy on the internet guessing about the position of Jupiter in relation to the length of distillery tours at Jack Daniels.

There, now that my lawyer is satisfied, I would say that you have it correct. The fused red has to be the 48V input. The black on the same harness would be the ground.

That leaves the other harness to be the 12v output, and the black would be negative and the yellow is positive.

Your logic makes sense to me.

When I was shopping for my DC-DC converter a couple of weeks ago I found some where the 3rd switched power leg must be switched at full input voltage (48V) others would accept anything between 12-48V for the switching lead.

I ended up buying a model that is on all the time with no switched input and connecting it to the main solenoid relay (which apparently acts different on an RXV, and stays on when the key is on)
