New guy wants more speed
I recently purchased a 2011 Club Car Precedent I2 Excel with a PH serial number. I have searched for hours for speed upgrades and feel like I am no better off. What is the "best" way for me to get more speed out of the cart?
Thanks |

Lets start with budget and how much speed you would like. For a hundred bucks you can get right close to 19/20 MPH with the install at a service shop of Speed Code 4 Or save your 100 spot and fork out 225.ish and have Plum Quick rebuild your stock motor into a BANDIT motor and you will see 22/25 with little else than a strong battery bank. Very often a little more speed can be found in 4 to 2 gauge cables and HD solenoid... If you want more than 25ish then start digging a bit deeper for HP motors and controllers as well as big cables and solenoid. Keep in mind that it all starts at the batteries so a strong well maintained pack it the heart of your beast.... |

Re: New guy wants more speed
I guess I should have said "I researched about something I know nothing about". I really appreciate the info. Looks like I will be taking the motor and getting a Plum Quick BANDIT soon.

Re: New guy wants more speed
I just started my first cart build, have been reading and researching everything I can get my hands on. No pro by any means BUT, I have noticed quite a bit of difference by adding a "speed magnet" was $17 and it helps with the auto braking and up hill. I also bought a speed code 5, it was $160 but figured if it runs $100+ to get a dealer to program speed code 4 then a few more dollars to do code 5 and be able to go back to a slower setting if I want, whenever, then why not just tried it this evening and I'm not sure what code I was on before but wow, it was a noticeable difference

Re: New guy wants more speed
I just installed a Plum Quick Bandit in my cart, very happy with it and Rick was great to work with.
