Had a weird incident, tell me what occurred.
2002 Club Car DS 48 Volt with two month old Trojan Ranger batteries. I was slowly driving around my lease. Out for about three hours. Not quite a full charge on the pack when I left camp. On a slight upgrade I went to turn up a road on a hill to a feeder (pig hunting) and my left front tire struck a rock a little larger than a softball. Naturally it jerked the wheel out of my hand and I released the accelerator pedal. Then the cart wouldn't go in forward. It would act like it wanted to go but with no torque or speed. I put it in reverse and it went just fine. I got onto more level ground and it would go and eventually get up to speed but it took 50 or 75 yards. So I went in reverse that distance and again tried to climb the moderate incline of the hill. Part way up I had to roll over a speed bump of a rock and it didn't have the torque to over come it. So I put on the brake, turned off the cart and walked up the hill to look for pigs. No luck, just deer. Walked back down to the cart, backed down the hill and drove back to camp. The cart behaving like nothing had happened. I tried to duplicate the lack of torque on some hills and rocks sticking up and it did fine. What happened and what do I need to expect when I head back down Wednesday?

Generally a loss in torque and speed is weak batteries... Start there, check your water levels and fully charge the batteries after allowing them to rest 8 hours take some voltage readings while sitting still and while underway... Let us know what they are. Also make sure all your cables are clean and snug...

Re: Had a weird incident, tell me what occurred.
I checked my water and connections back at camp the next day. Fully charged the next morning showing 54 volts when first unplugged and 52.1 a couple of hours later (maybe only an hour and a half). But when I left camp the night before the just off the charger charge was only 50.4 and like I say I was out almost three hours with probably eight to ten miles covered so . . . I left it on the save a battery unit while I am gone.

SaveABattery works great if you use it to maintain charge after a full charge.

I left it on the cart charger about 12 days before that. I would assume it reached full charge and shut off as it usually does.

But none of this may have anything to do with our issues... |

I left it charging the time before this one is why the save a unit wasn't on it. I had intended to return sooner but the rains delayed that. Going back tomorrow and will see what I find.

Just to update, no other issues. Put several miles on it the last few days and all seems good. Guess I ran her a little low on juice.
