Default 1995 club car came to and quick stop !!!

I was on the golf course today and was playing a pretty good game then when I was heading down the cart path to hit my next shot the club car came to a quick stop like I put on the brakes hard. Now when I push on the peddle the cart will not move but it feels like it is trying to move, but when I let off the peddle I can push the cart by hand. Both in forward and reverse. It is a 1995 Club car.

Any help would be appreciated

What do you mean by "it feels like it is trying to move"?

when you push the peddle you can feel it trying to move the motor and wheels like it is lock in gear but it just won't move but maybe like 1 inch every few seconds. but when you let off the peddle it is free to move like the motor is not lock down. hope this helps

and Thank you for the welcome

Well since I could not get any help from this form I decided to check out the club car myself and found that the car was getting 48 voltage input but only 7 volts on the output of the controller.

So If you ever cruising down the path in your club car and come to an abrupt stop and it feels like that cart won't move maybe like inches, chances are it is your solid state controller. Hope this helps someone for the future.

I would have tried to help but I don't answer any questions about DS Club Cars. I restrict myself to Precedent questions. Beside if you gave me a list of 10 item that could cause this problem. One being the most likely and ten being least likely. The controller would have #10. So by troubleshooting it yourself you saved yourself a lot of wild guesses, false ideas and probably a lot of money. Take for instance with the information given I would have suggested a bad solenoid. You would have spent a lot of time checking and maybe even spending some money for parts you didn't need. So see you came out ahead of the game.

Thank you for passing the results on to everybody. that is what makes this such a great forum, everyone learns from other people's problems, when someone else post a problem like you had, maybe, just maybe, one of us will remember what It was and be able to help the next person. Good job
