Default Help - New Plum Quick Motor Install/Motor Mount

All,

I'm replacing stock Club Car DS motor TODAY and I got the old one down fine, but there is an additional mount/bracket on the stock motor that is no on the PQ motor. See attached pic. Do I need this? Is the stock bracket removable? If so, how?

Thanks for the help

I would probably want it on there for added support. On the GE motors the bracket is cast with the metal and is not a separate piece. On the AMD motors, it is a removable bracket. It seems to me like PQ forgot to replace the bracket on your Bandit?

The AMD by far. I just swapped my GE for an AMD this past week. The AMD canister is much thicker, and I'm told the brushes are larger. Your Bandit appears to be an AMD, correct?

It is for sure, looking at the pic again. The bracket goes where those two empty holes are on the case.
