I would recommend trying what teecro said, seeing if the shop will take back the 6v batts. Just tell them it was an honest mistake. BTW, I've seen several people here on the forum put 36v worth of batteries in a 48v cart, you're certainly not the first!

:D

Thanks.

The auto parts store will not take back the batteries, and the local golf cart dealership offered me a trade that included a new set of Trojan 8 volts for my 6 volts + $690.

Ouch.

At least it is simple to make my cart go faster........

Ouch is right, they basically want you to give them your 6v batts...

Highway Robbery... I'd buy another set from somewhere else and sell those on CL

I sold my old 6 volts and got some new Trojan 8 volts.

I gained 2 mph, but that's it. I unplugged the speed sensor and it still only goes the same 12 mph.

I tried resetting the OBC, but I got stumped on the "Lock the throttle pedal down". I have no idea what that means.

Any more input or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

It means hold it at full throttle, floored. But all you should need to do to reset the OBC is disconnect the pack for at least 10 minutes...

I guess the OBC reset while I changed the batteries out.

It's still a crawler at 12 mph.
