I need help with obc bypass and new batteries....
I am an electrical idiot. I have had a ton of problems with my cart which I am trying to end. I have a 98 ds 48 volt. I did an obc bypass using the following attachment..........I got a new dpi smart charger......I got new t-875's...........when I installed it read 47.5 volts........per scottyb break in I put the charge on., after 3 hours the charger was still on so I checked and it was at 52.5 volts....according to the chart that is too high..........I am horribly paranoid about overcharging

all is good some batteries will push up to 60 volts during charging and charger could run up to 16 hours before it is complete

Your new batteries could take 12 to 16 hours to fully charge. Charger will charge your batteries to around 60 volts or a little higher before it kicks off.

Well. Something went wrong. During the night the charger shut off before it was fully charged.

Explain? What is the status of the LED's on the front panel of the charger? What is your battery voltage? Yesterday you thought it was overcharging and this morning you claim it is undercharging....

Re: I need help with obc bypass and new batteries....
went I went to bed it was still charging. the voltage I posted last night was with the charger plugged in and read on the dash volt meter. This morning I went out and there were no lights lit on the charger. I unplugged it and turned the key on. the voltmeter read 49.5. I then shut it off and re plugged in the chasrger and the power light flashes.....

With your digital volt meter on your cart you should be able to see the voltage climbing when you plug in the new DPI charger. Is this happening?
