Default Hauling my cart in my shortbed truck.

Hey guys need some advice. Needing some advice. My cart is long enough that the tires sit on the tailgate of my truck. Problem is when the tailgate is down I can't pull my camper the tailgate hits it. I can't take the tailgate off because the cart wheels will rest on the bumper. On guy suggested Jack up the back of the cart and make a small wood frame to hold it up so the tailgate will partially close. Any ideas?

Get a long bed truck or make two trips. I would not try building anything that could break it you hit a big bump.

I tow a 30" with a Ram 1500 and it has done the trick just fine.

How do you get the cart on the frame load it normal then Jack it up? My cart will clear the camper with the tailgate off but the cart is hanging off the truck I'll try to insert a pic.

One more thought for you- have you run the numbers on your weight capacities? Between passengers, cart, and camper you might be at your rated capacity for a half ton truck.

I thought about trying to make some sort of bed extension only need like 8 inches or so ( I know that's what she said lol ) something that will slide off and on like the tailgate does.

They sell Hitch extenders that will move the trailer back by a foot or two
