Why? YOu would need to replace motor and controller for starters.

I am in process of doing one right now. Got it running(28 mph) just running into a few issues . Curious if anyone else had done one. The answer to why is because I had never done one and heard they ran fast and increased battery life. You have to change everything, except batteries.

Wow, that's a hefty price. I think I would consider a lithium conversion instead. Better bang for the buck.
