Default 94 DS, where do i get 24 volt light bulbs ?

Both headlight bulbs blew last week, pulled them out last night and they are 12 volts bulbs....

Went surfing last night on the web and couldn't' find any bulbs ?

Bulbs where installed just before i got the cart, they are stanley 12 volt as labeled.... the multimeter says i got 24 volts coming to them....

The cart went in for new batteries before i picked it up, they did a good job with the batteries and replaced the headlights bulbs and tailight bulbs.... all are 12 volt bulbs but again multimeter says there is 24 volts coming to them :(

Can't imagine the tail lights will last long, noticed the rear lens are melted where the bulb is... GGGRRRR.....

Got a led lightbar the other day was just gonna install that, but it needs 12 volts and there is no 12 volt feed.... unless i connect to 2 batteries which is not a ideal install.... between the lightbar and a converter cost... figured id just get new bulbs.. but can't find any ?

Did some digging on the led light bar i got at a local golf cart place.... box says 12 volt.... found the identical led here..

says it has range of ...

The better question is "Why are the lights being feed 24 volts?".

It sounds like someone tapped into the wrong part of the battery pack.

Oh ? so that's not normal ? awesome lol

So what voltage should I see there ?

It is supposed to be 12 volts ? aka wired to two of the 6 volt batteries ?

Yes, you should have 12v. there. Although it's not ideal, it's often provided by tapping onto a pair of batteries, BUT using a 1/3 of the pack makes for uneven draw and shortened life of the whole pack. Best practice is to use a 36v. to 12v. reducer.

What he said - I was thinking the same thing as I read this thread. What is the voltage of each battery? Is there a way to get down to 12v? I've seen people with 8v batteries get away with pushing 2 (16v) to typical bulbs but even doing that will probably reduce their lifespan somewhat. You get some nice bright headlights though. LOL.

The proper way to do this is with a voltage reducer that will reduce it to 12vdc. (48V or 36v to 12v reducer, depending on your carts voltage).
