Receiver hitch on Precedent rear seat platform
I bought a Sea Doo and a trailer and am wondering about towing it from my lake house to the boat ramp with one of my carts. Both are lifted 6" and neither has heavy duty springs. It's not a long distance from my place to the ramp and there are no public roads in between. I see people here sometimes tow their "ski's" to the ramp with their cart and have even seen tandem trailers with 2 ski's at times. The foot ramp/platform on my rear seat has the 2 holes like you would use to mount one of those u-shaped hand rails or other accessories. Is there such a thing as a receiver hitch kit that would attach to the cart without drilling or welding anything?

Re: Receiver hitch on Precedent rear seat platform
Yep, Madjax has one. I got the grab bar and receiver hitch for mine, it was all just bolt on as my rear seat kit already had the holes on the rear step.
Ramp must be nice, I trek mine down to the shoreline and make sure I've got an extra set of hands to help to step on the gas while I push for traction. |

Re: Receiver hitch on Precedent rear seat platform
As long as it's a metal step plate, we have a hitch that will fit it.

Re: Receiver hitch on Precedent rear seat platform
Not sure what brand my rear seat kit is, I don't think its Madjax. It's several years old and was put on prior to my ownership. There are no distinguishing marks/stickers to assign it to a mfg. If yours has the two holes on the rear step you should be confident that its standard fit for most grab bars/receivers.

Re: Receiver hitch on Precedent rear seat platform
I just compared and measured the platforms and rear facing holes on my carts and both are virtually the same and the holes are exactly the same distance apart - about 4 7/8" center to center.
Bigblockman, you say you have one that would work? |
