Default Have charging probably, charged a 48 volt 2008 club car precedent with for 12 hour

Have charging probably, charged a 48 volt 2008 club car precedent with 4 new batteries charged for 12 hours and the meter on the charger was only reading 5 amps anyone and any ideas? The batteries hadn't been changed for 3 weeks, the charger never shut down,

Test your pack voltage after resting from charger for about 8-12 hours. If it's 50.6/7 or above you've got a full charge most likely.
Also, check your water levels.

Lots of folks here suggest 16hrs. Try that first. You can also hook a dvm to each battery while driving and see if you have a bad cell.

5 amps is the final stage of the charge algorithm. Let it finish. Get a voltmeter and tell us what the pack is reading under charge.

I got a 50.7 volt reading at the battery terminals without the charger connected. With the charger connected I got a 51.2 volts reading at the battery terminals
