Default What are the micro switches

Have a 96 cc just wondering what the micro switches do. Looking in the wiring diagram page micro switches 1, 2 and 3. What are they for I think #2 is reverse but what are the others. On mine their are no white/black or green/white hooked up and I'm trying to figure out why?

m/s 1- part of fail-safe circuit (key s/w>direction chosen>throttle)
m/s 2- reverse buzzer
m/s 3- feeds resistor for half-speed reverse

thanks scottyb, that was the one I was looking at but wanted to know what the switches did individually so I could note it.
