Default Cart applies regen braking when decelerating please help

Hi, I have a 2010 club car precedent pq : I have seen a few posts on this issue but never any results . The problem can occur in forward and reverse, when decelerating the reverse indicator audibles and cart begins motor braking. I can let off pedal and press go again and resumes running again . I have replaced speed sensor and jumped out mcor 2pin same results . I am going to jump out key switch and try it , I have also already jumped out fnr with no changes . Was told there is a diode behind tow switch which I will also check . Just hoping someone can chime in who has been through this before . Thank you

This sounds like an FR switch issue to me. I would try swapping it out. I believe it's just a 3 position rocker switch under the housing...

If you want to eliminate regen braking install a 4 pole magnet on your motor. They are also referred to as speed magnets.

jumped out mcor
That fixes the microswitch problem with MCOR, but not the (potential) problem with worn traces inside. Did you try the key-off and 50 rapid pumping/cycles of the Go Pedal? Its a short term fix - but will indicate if MCOR is the issue.

Ken, did you receive my email asking you to monitor solenoid coil voltage?

Yes sir I sure did , ran my printer to death also printing out troubleshooting section in club car service manual as well . Plan on taking jack ,stands , my sweet fluke multimeter,a ton of patience, and a 15 pack of bud light to the camper this weekend . With a little luck and all the great advice from you and the techies on this site hopefully I can nail it down . Thanks again to you and everyone else for your advice and sharing of your knowledge,I will follow up on this forum if and when I get her fixed .

Hey all , so ran out of beer and patience . All system checks good , solenoid coil is dropping voltage . Went thru electrical again could not locate diode even with print and opening plastic housing . From tow switch to sonic weld to coil no diode unless they install it sonic weld ? . Leaning towards speed controller is there any trouble shooting to completely rules this out ? FYI batteries are 2014 and test shows good .
