Exclamation new member

:-Hi Everyone, I just ordered a refurbished club car president model. They are exchanging out the 12x4 for 6x8 batteries for an additional cost. I understand the cart will perform better on hills (lots of hills where I live). anyone have any experience with this?

I'd sure like to see a picture of that battery set up when you get it in.

In theory, you will have more lead and more lead = more amperage capacity and amps are what drive the cart.....

Thanks for the replies. First, the 6/x8 batteries will fit in a new container. The old base which held the 4/12 had to be replaced.

Welcome to BGW Pamela!
I'd like to see some pics of your cart, and the battery container transition...
Lately, more and more people are asking "how to" change the 4 12V batteries to 6 8V's,
I think that info would be more then welcome here!

When you say "Refurbished"...
was it done at the factory? (Gold Standard)... By a CC dealer?... or?...

6 8V batteries are known to have better "stamina" then 4 12V's!
from what I understand... Club Car is changing back to 6 8V's for some models from the factory

(Again... I'd like to see pics of this!)

I'm guessing... somebody has done their Homework!
