Default Possible Faster reverse?

Hello Everyone!

I have a 1995 club car DS. It's mainly for off road. Is there a simple way to get more power and speed from reverse. Sometimes I could really use the extra power to back out of some situations.

Thanks!

On the #3 micro switch on the back of the F+R switch is a wire that has a resistor in series in that wire. Disconnecting that wire or by-passing that resistor with a switch will give you full speed reverse.

Correction-should read-"interrupting" rather than "by-passing"

Or you could mod the resistor to get 3/4 speed reverse.

So simply removing the resistor will give me full reverse speed?

You don't need to remove the resistor, just connect the Green with the White wires together on Micro-switch #3.

That will by-pass the resistor when in reverse and allow full speed.

IF it's a 48 volt cart.

Good point, if it is a 36v You will not find any Green wire on the micro-switch #3.

On the 36v model, just disconnect one of the wires form Micro-switch #3 (either black or white) for full speed on reverse.

Thanks guys. It's a 48 volt. I'm pretty sure I know what you guys are talking about. Does anyone have a pic my chance so I can see it?

In the "Stickys" (above this section) #3 post of the wiring diagrams.

Sergio might have a cleaner version.
