Default What's Special About This Motor ?

Bought a 96 Ds solid state 48V. 22 inch tires, runs about 21 MPH.
4AWG cables.
SN A9629-510927
It has a 3.75 HP special service motor.
Happy with speed ,need more torque for sand and getting up trailer ramp.
On some older threads referring to this motor, I saw some recommendations to upgrade to 500amp controller, but I never found where it was actually done.
Will this motor handle 500amps ? Will 4AWG cables work ? If so, what kind of results can I expect ?
I realize I will also have to upgrade FNR and solenoid.
If wouldn't hurt my feelings to gain an MPH or 2, but I can't be losing any.
Thanks, Muddog
