Club Car Charger problems

Hi New guy to electric car. Just got a 48v. Batteries are too low for the cart to start the charger. I jumped out the charger relay. To try and get a charge started but the charger still didn't come on. Do I have a problem with my charger? This is an 2004 club car. Not sure the maker of the charger. I believe it's original to the car. Possibly a power drive

The charger won't charge when the batteries are below a certain voltage...you have to charge each battery individually until you get enough voltage to trigger the golf cart charger. If they are 8v batteries you can use a 12v charger but you have to keep a close eye on the batteries so you don't overcharge them...keep a multimeter close or even attached to the battery you are charging to help with the monitoring. You do NOT have to remove any wires to do this. Just attach the charger to the individual battery's neg and pos and charge...when you get all the batteries up to about the same voltage then try the golf cart charger and see if it will kick in...if not you may have another problem...but one thing at a time.mif you can't get the batteries to charge up using this info you may have bad batteries and they will need to be replaced. He jumped the relay so it doesn't matter how low the pack voltage is.
If you jumped the relay and the charger didn't turn on, you need to check the A/C side of the charger or your house plug

A 2004 Club Car has the Grey OBC. You can't jump the relay out and force the car to charge through a grey OBC. You have to bypass the charging circuit of the OBC in order to charge the cart with a charger with a jumped out relay. Essentially what you need to do is put a new 10 gauge wire from the negative pin of the charger receptacle to the main negative battery post. This will bypass the OBC and will connect your charger receptacle directly to the battery pack.

I have power at the receptacle of the house. It is my understanding if you jump the relay inside the charger it bypasses the obc . Do I also need the wire from the negative side of the plug to the main battery negative? Please let me know thanks

You jump the relay and it turns the charger on. It will charge the batteries, Ive done this way to many to count on batteries that have sat too long.

This only works with a pre-2004 beige colored OBC. The grey OBC will not allow you to manually force a charge through the OBC.

You jumped the relay and turned the transformer on, but the transformer won't detect any voltage at all from the battery pack unless you bypass the OBC like I just described in my previous post.
