Madjax/Navitas torque controller update
Hope this info may help anyone that is using this controller .....I installed this controller last year in my precedent and have been very happy with it , but I have always noticed that it had a pretty hard take off /throttle was pretty touchy but got used to it. I also noticed that I never really had 100% throttle usage, meaning that all the usable power was in the first 60 to 70% of the throttle range and the last 30 to 40% of the throttle was not being utilized at all , I recently decided to e-mail Silverwolf to see what their thoughts were and they advised me to see what SW version I had and to get back with them, checked the controller and the sticker on the controller said that I had version 8.1. I e-mailed that info back to them and they e-mailed me back and said they would ship me a new 8.3 version controller that would give me 100% throttle usage at no cost as long as I would pay to ship my old controller back to them, a few days later I had my new controller , installed the new controller and followed the throttle calibration instructions and the difference is night and day. The cart now has a much softer start and the entire throttle range is now being utilized , it made a big difference and for some reason its about 2mph faster, I don't understand the increase in speed but hope this may help someone that is using this controller, if you have this controller with version 8.1 with any loss of throttle range or hard starts/takeoffs then contact Silverwolf .... I was very impressed that they were willing to just ship me a new controller and all I had to do was pay to ship my old controller back to them...great folks to deal with !

That's why the XCT control is so nice. FREE user software, you could have fixed a problem like this in 5 minutes with a laptop and usb cable. And you can customize your own throttle curve or with the FNKS switch program 3 different throttle, speed, and regen curves to select on the fly with the switch of a dial.

Re: Madjax/Navitas torque controller update
good point but at the time I bought the Madjax controller Alltrax didn't have the XCT with OTF control, at that time I had read way too many complaints about the DCX/club car compatibility to go that route, sounds like both controllers are up to snuff now. Sounds like you cant go wrong with either one

Re: Madjax/Navitas torque controller update
can you imagine what they will have out in 10 years for these carts ? all this great stuff today will be old junk by then, I don't have the cart knowledge you guys have but I have witnessed the extremely fast paced improvements in technology in just the last couple years since I started tinkering with a cart. it truly does compare to cell phone technology , I just bought a 2014 f150 and I asked the salesman why these trucks are so much higher in price than they were 8 years ago and he said the technology they are putting in the trucks is driving the price and will continue , he said the race is on between Ford, Chevy and Dodge and its all about torque and technology ...kinda like these cart upgrades ...I cant believe that I actually said the word Dodge .... yuck

Re: Madjax/Navitas torque controller update
Thank you for posting this. I am having similar issues with my Madjax Torque controller. Is the software version listed on the controller itself?

Disregard. I just re-read your post and see where you said the software version was listed on the sticker.

Re: Madjax/Navitas torque controller update
question once the alltrax is set up for my motor, do i ever have to make changes again? i don't have a windows lap top and have never used a windows computer, guessing it can't be adjusted with a iPad or a Mac? i have no interest in buying a lap top just to mess with a controller thats my main concern with it compared to the madjax unit that seems to be plug and play

Re: Madjax/Navitas torque controller update
You do not have to use the Alltrax software to enjoy the controller. Ask your dealer to set up the controller as you like. I program every controller before I ship.
