Default 95 club car 48v

have a 95 club car ds I put in a new alltrax xct300iq controller and switched the wiring harness to an IQ the main negitive battery wont charge the rest will and by accident i had the neg of my voltage meter connected to main neg and touch the positive lead to the frome and im showing 27 volts dc but i cannot find a short

Don't be alarmed with that unless you have something connected to frame ground. I can get a voltage reading from my pack to a tire. Sergio can explain it.

Try the use of some commas and periods. I read your post 3 times and still not sure if you're asking about one issue or two. I won't read it a 4th time.

You may have left the battery out of the series.
