Default Dead cc precedent

So a bat post melted ruining two batteries so I replaced both batteries. Charged cart up and it ran great for five days then melted another post. My local shop replaced battery, and a new cable putting lock washers on all connections.I brought the cart home now it will not charge when I plug in the charger it clicks and that it.the reverse buzzer doesn't come on, it's just dead. I have tried putting a manual charger on each battery but no help any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What is your overall pack voltage and per battery voltage?

As an aside you can repair those melted battery posts instead of replacing them. Use the search function on this site and you will find it.

I don't know how to check over all pack but each battery is 8.3 from what 8 understand is good for an 8 volt battery. I can't find any loose or broken connections but nothing works lights forward or reverse even the reverse buzzer will not sound.

Leave the red lead of your multi-meter connected to the (+) of the right rear battery and connect the black lead of your multi-meter to the (-) of the left rear battery that is overall pack voltage... If absolutely NOTHING is working then I'd be HIGHLY suspect that something is not connected correctly or was left Unconnected...

Ok I'll checked something earlier today and got areading.of 16.71 but I'm not sure what battery I checked but I will as soon as I get home tonight. I also did find a small gauge wire not connected but I guess it was meaningless cause I reconnected still nothing. BTW thanks for your help my work schedule is a little crazy so that's the gap in me getting back to you.

If you got a reading of 8.3 volts from each battery and your only getting a reading of 42 volts then something is dead wrong as you should be reading 49.8 volts across main pack (-) to (+) so you should double check that all batteries are connected in series meaning it should look something like this.

---[- B1 +]---[- B2 +]---[- B3 +]---[- B4 +]---[- B5 +]---[- B6 +]---

Sounds like a battery is in backwards...

You may have a charger problem or a blown fuse in the charge circuit...the fuse for the charge circuit is above the charger plug-in inside the battery compartment...it's a glass covered fuse. You can test voltage both sides or set your meter for a continuity test and make sure that fuse isn't blown. If any of your friend have a simulated cart you could try their charger...or we may be able to walk you through testing your charger.
