Locating...OBC vs Controller

A dumb noob question here...I can't tell from the parts diagram.

But where is the OBC and the controller on a 2006 DS?

I presume one of them is the big boxy thing in the center of the vehicle accessible through the plastic deck hatch behind the seat.

Then I see another large box component mounted just behind the battery on the frame in front of the rear drivers wheel well...I can only see it if I stick my head in the battery compartment and look underneath toward the rear wheel...or probably if I pulled the rear wheel and the liner.

The OBC is a flat panel with main (-) cable going through a hole in the center of it, visible from the battery bay. The Speed control is the larger box with 3 or 4 high amperage cables going to it visible when the access cover is removed. Assuming you are asking about a DS model which it sounds like.

Humm I need to take pictures tonight then...the thing I'm talking about is brick shaped and looks like it has 4 wires (2 pos and 2 neg) going to it. And it's in the battery compartment tucked up and away under the driver in front of the rear wheel well. I don't think you can see it from the access panel...not easily at least.

Pretty sure this cart is stock unless someone just relocated the controller as there are speakers for the stereo mounted in the access cover.

Anything is possible. Brick shape thing probably a voltage reducer for stereo.

Here are some pictures of the part in question..it's hard to get a good shot now since I put the batteries and everything back together.

Again sitting in the drivers seat this would be like right behind your left azz cheek....:)

Don't mind the body filler stuff - work in progress...
