Question CARRYALL 2 Solenoid Dropout

I am having issues with an 09 Carryall 2. It has the Curtis 1236 controller and it gives the code "39" which is "Main Contactor Did Not Close" if I allow the cart to sit and flip the run/tow switch the cart will resume normal operation.

I drive it and it operates normally. When it comes to a stop and sits for about 10-15 seconds, the main solenoid drops out. When the pedal is pressed again nothing happens and the code appears on the controller.

Any ideas? I have replaced both solenoids thinking that one may be bad.... This did not help. Could it be a relay or a controller issue?

This one has me stumped.

Battery level is at 51.8 volts. I've checked all the cables and connections.

Just a wag. Could the run tow switch be loosing contact.? Maybe switch it a few times to see if it helps.

The switch seems to be working properly. I am guessing that killing power to the controller by switching out to tow clears the code allowing it to function. I am trying figure out what is causing the "main contractor did not close" code in the first place.

1 Foot sw
2 reostat
3 lockout
4 key sw
5 run tow
Must have all of the above and then blame controller

Key Switch functions properly
Run Tow Works
Reostat/ MCOR is functioning correctly

How do I check "lockout"?

I am also assuming that the foot switch is a micro switch.?.?

I have a Curtis 1311 programmer that can be used for diagnostics only. I don't have actual programming capabilities.

I noticed that there is a switching mechanism on the brake pedal that disables the throttle input when the brake pedal is pressed.

When the pedal is pressed, what gets switched? Is there a relay? Does this cause the solenoid to get locked out?

Hey partsdart , Not sure I'm even close on this , but I had a solenoid drop out issue on 2010 cc . Turned out the diode in series from solenoid power to run/tow switch was bad . Added one in and now no more issue . This was Sergio's find not mine . Not even sure if a carry all is club car but that my 2 cents

Update and Solution:

I had full voltage on the battery pack and the cart would function correctly after being charged. After letting the cart sit for 30 minutes or so 1 battery would loose voltage and was apparently shorted out, but it was not noticeable unless the cart sat for a short period of time.

So, I replaced all batteries and everything works just like it should.
