Re: Rear end clicks under load 84 cc
You might pull the hubs and see if noise is still there. If not you might have a brake chatter. Sand hubs and shoes with 100 grit paper and see if that helps. If noise is still there with hubs off you may have same problem as I had on my 96CC. A small part ($4.00), the "spline bumper" at end of motor spline that keeps in line. Check my thread For 96 rear end clicking and you will see a blow up of the motor showing this part. It's not an easy job with body on but thanks to others on line in Huston & Wisconson they helped me through it. I used 80/90 gearoil in R end. and is smooth as silk. Good luck

(check to see if your lugs nuts may be loose!!! Ooops... too late!) and 30W motor oil is suggested for electric transaxles, but, 80w90 shouldn't hurt! |

hey Lockman, How much oil does the DS rear end hold? I'm thinking of changing to synthetic to lighten the 'load' .....

Re: Rear end clicks under load 84 cc
Thanks Its definately an internal noise I have the wheels off and noise persists. The motor bumper sounds like it could be it...DOH. I changed the fluid with some 80/90 tranny oil for motorcycles..not really as thick as 80/90 gear lube. Still noisy.

Re: Rear end clicks under load 84 cc
Does the noise get faster as the gas is depressed, and clicking slows down when motor slows .
