Got it down to 10 volts by putting some rubber strips in battery tray, 0x02 error has gone away. But problem still happens. Ran for ~100yards and died. Maybe solenoid is getting wore out?

Had the same problem a while back and it was caused by exactly that. Voltage was weeping through the battery cases back to frame and flipping out the controller. In my case it started out as the batteries but even after replacing them it still had issues. Had to replace the controller

Does the solenoid dis-engage when the cart quits under power?

No, solenoid only disengages when I release accelerator.

Have you checked to see if the control is still powered up (+ at pin 1) when the cart stops?

When it stops, I usually get off it and open it back up so I can see LED on controller and verify it's still showing green; it does now. Just to clarify, you are saying I need to verify voltage at controller pin#1 (key switch) while I still have my foot on the accelerator and it randomly stops?

Is this to verify I don't have a loss of power to the controller causing these random stops?

I have good voltage at controller pin#1 (key switch) while solid green for go, but no motion.

So yesterday it was cooler outside. Cart ran fine. green lights. Today hot and humid out, the Alltrax is back to doing it's double red flash of death.

I suspect controller circuit board is getting the lead-free solder problem most newer electronics tend to get (google reflow circuit board or reflow iphone repair).

Question is, is there a controller on the market that won't die after a few years?

Scotty, what do you think about the differences between the FSIP/GE 700 amp and the SR48500 controllers you have on your series-controllers page? I notice the SR48500 has a big fan area. Concerns about that area attracting debris and junk like computer fans?

The 700 GE control is a simple and rugged unit with manual controls for limiting output and throttle ramp up rate. We have used this control almost exclusively in our solid state conversion kits due to it's low cost & reliability.

The SR control is the latest thing to hit the golf cart speed control aftermarket.
It offers more bells and whistles like reverse polarity protection, user PC or laptop programming, and shift on the fly accessory.
