Alltrax AXE 4855
Cart setup details below. Debugging an issue where it runs some of the time, but sometimes it just does not move. Been playing at it for a couple of weeks now.
Controller LED is green single flash then solid green. Which should mean go. I hooked up the AllTrax Controller Pro build 39 software and note that the throttle will show increase on the monitor, but when the cart is not working, it shows Output Current 0 and Battery Amps 0 even though the throttle position % goes up and down. Until this afternoon, hooking up the cable and software almost always remedies my no go problem after switching tabs in software. Now, it throws a 0x02 error, which I understand to mean it's saying it's less than -25 degrees C (-13F). Not likely, since it's 90+ degrees F. I've checked the Controller Input and Output and done a Motor continuity test, everything came out OK. FNR looks good. V-glide output is good. Micro-switches are good. Any ideas? 93 Club Car DS, ScottyB's HD FNR switch and HD 400amp solenoid, Alltrax AXE 4855. Stock series motor and v-glide. |

Errant temp fault code is not good. It's usually a fatal fault not related to temperature at all but control board failure. Call Alltrax 541-476-3565 and ask for tech support. What is the DOM on the unit?

Re: Alltrax AXE 4855
I got it from you around Sept 2012. I got it to move again a bit, but it goes for about 100 yards and then dies again. If I let it sit about 15 min, it will go a little further.

Re: Alltrax AXE 4855
So I talked to Alltrax, they said if I was getting voltage from the negative side of the battery to the frame, that was bad. So I checked it, and I was; about 30volts. He said that's the only other thing beyond a bad controller that will cause the 0x02 error.
Attempting to track down how that is, but does that sound plausible? |

Re: Alltrax AXE 4855
Yes I have heard this before but... tracking down and eliminating trace voltage is not easy. Often wet battery cases or on a CC the 16v >12v reducer is to blame.

Re: Alltrax AXE 4855
Where's the 16v >12v reducer at? (Sounds like that's for 48v)
