You can't re-pack bearings on a Precedent. Sealed-bearing hubs were introduced in 2004 when the Precedent came out. Just pull the tires off and spin the hub. If it's smooth and quiet, you're good. If it's rough and making grinding noises, replace the hub. The part number for that hub is 102357701.

That's because you've run the bearings dry and they've gotten so hot, the inner bearing has nature-welded itself to the spindle. Sand the spindle down really good with sand paper and get it nice and smooth. Spray some wd-40 on it and try to knock it off. Typically, I use an air chisel to work it off. It works really good. Don't know if you have access to one of those or not. The seal mentioned in the above post comes with the kits that I sell. I'm not sure if it comes with the one you ordered or not.

Was able to pound off the old bearing.

Then filed it down and sanded the axel and the new bearings slid right on. New bearings came with the dust deal too. Best part is Amazon delivered on Sunday for free!

Another question. Bought a greese gun cause I saw several grease points that have never been greased probaly. My grease gun is not "flexible" and I can not get at the right angle to hit the grease points. So they sell just the tips to use on my grease gun that are flexible?

Thanks-

Yes you can buy a flex hose for that Greece gun.

Looks like a lot of rust on that cart. Was it in the water?

This is what you need. The rigid portion on the end of the gun unscrews and the hose screws on, then you take the grease coupler off the end of the old rigid hose you took off and screw it onto the end of the new flex hose. Get a hose that has some length, you'll thank yourself later when you have to crawl under something and weave the hose through suspension parts to get to an awkwardly placed fitting.

Edit: I see two people beat me to it.

Also, in the future, you may want to invest in a "pistol grip" grease gun. This can be operated MUCH easier than the old long arm style with only one hand while using the other hand to hold the grease coupler onto the fitting.

No rust that I've seen. Just Georgia clay

Thank you for the links. I'll stop by HF or homedepot today and grab one. When I ordered the grease gun off Amazon I wasn't really thinking.
