Default Another Cart Won't Move Thread (kinda long)

First electric cart. Not very knowledgeable about them but trying to learn.
Bought this CC $300 48v (S/N AA0244-221740). Best I can tell, it's a series cart bone stock. I assumed nothing considering it was $300, so expected some of these issues.
Owner said the batteries wouldn't charge. They were 4 years old, so I purchased new Crown 150 amp batteries and installed with new cables.
Cart initially moved @5 feet then stopped. Solenoid clicks sometimes but not usually. Maybe 1 out of 5 times.

I plugged up the Powerdrive charger (thinking maybe batteries were weak), and shop breaker tripped on several attempts as soon as I plugged in. I searched on here and ordered heatsink and relay. Hope that fixes it.

Batteries each read 8.4-8.5 volts with digital hand held meter and pack measures 50.7, so I should have juice. Fairly confident I have them wired correctly, but attached a pic. I used a wiring diagram from this forum.

I don't get any voltage on motor leads at rest or when pedal is depressed. I'm not very good with electricity/electronics, so I'm not sure where to go from here to narrow down which component is at fault. I don't see any obvious issues. No raw wires, checked all connections, I did reset the OBC, etc. Any guidance would be appreciated. I've attached a few pics if that helps.
I've read/searched many threads on here and saw a few that had similar issue, but never saw many end solutions.

Not sure how to check the solenoid? Still trying to figure out how the circuit works on this thing.

key to micro switch (mocr or v-glide) to f/r micro switch to solenoid

solenoid test
Quote:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. remove all wires, restorer , and diode from solenoid
test 1
Connect an volt meter, set on continuity, place on the two large terminal studs. The meter should indicate no continuity, Replace the solenoid if continuity is present.
test 2
Using jumper wires attach from main positive and main negative of battery pack to the two small solenoid studs, polarity is not important. You should hear a click as the solenoid engages, and the meter should indicate continuity on the two large terminals. Replace the solenoid if continuity is not present.
if solenoid clicks rapidly solenoid is bad

I did test1 above and there was no continuity present, so I guess solenoid is good? But I still don't a click every pedal press.
I get voltage at each terminal at f-n-r switch, but none was 48V. Not sure what each wire goes to.
I watched a youtube video of a guy checking the controller. By his method i get nothing going into controller. He put negative lead on negative last battery and positive on 1st terminal on controller (small red wire on left side of controller in 1st pic above) and pressed pedal. He said this confirms power is going into controller and I got nothing.

I'm more confused now than before and know that's a poor explanation.

I see you're in Georgia? If you're not too far from Augusta I can come help you out.

Thanks Tahoe, but I'm in Dublin. About 2 hours from you.
My FIL is coming by this week to help. He is an electrical guy and has a club car also, so hopefully we can narrow down the issue(s). I've never been very good at electrical stuff.
I'm starting to think every component on this thing is toast.

hey,

yeah most frequently when I encounter the club car DS, I cant even recall how many times the solenoid was the culprit. its a common thing for the DS, chances are it may be it and sometimes there are a couple ways to wire your batteries, but as long as you end up with the proper voltage when your done you are ok
