Default Lift Installed - Steering wheel Off Center

So I've read a number of posts about chasing the wheel, and other ways of centering the steering (pulling the wheel, etc.) But I'm not getting it from just reading.

So I put a 6" all sports lift on. Now my steering is about 180 degrees off. driving straight, the top of the wheel is pointing at the 3 o'clock position.

I need to check my camber and toe (but the looks of it I don't think it's off much). But is there a way to center the wheel without pulling it? And wouldn't I need to center the wheel then adjust the tires themselves so that the steering can still get it's full swing - left to right turn radius? I didn't make any changes to the ball joints or steering linkage when I pulled the old suspension off and added the lift.

Is it as simple as following the directions from MadJax here (http://www.mymadjax.com/core/media/m...85b5acac9c40b5) - this makes sense to me. Basically ignore the direction of the wheel initially, set camber and tow, then adjust the rod from the steering rod/ball joint?

Adjust all the suspension and steering first, and after u have done all that and it looks good and ur steering wheel is still off, just take it off and make the straight.

Do I start the adjustments with the tires straight regardless of where the wheel is pointing? or do I set the wheel straight and make the wheels point straight?

I ask this because it seems to me if I make the toe/camber adjustments with the steering wheel off center then the amount of left and right turn will be reduced. Meaning if my wheels are straight when my steering is pointing at 3 o'clock and I just pull the steering wheel to center it, then it seems that I'd reduce my right hand turning.

Disregard positioning of the steering wheel when adjusting.

Turn the steering wheel so that the tires are as straight as possible, do your adjustments (toe/camber). Once that is satisfactory, remove the steering wheel and reinstall it in the correct orientation. This shouldn't affect the turning radius at all. It should true it up.

When I did mine, I turned the steering all the way each way then back to half the amount of turn. Like 1 1/2 turns right and 1 1/2 turns left. Made sure the wheel turned the same amount each way. Then set the wheels straight adjusted until steering wheel was straight.

Make sure you do Camber first, then Toe In , and then center your steering wheel.

Ok is this normal - I did the camber set it to 90deg perpendicular. But once I did that the passenger front tire is pointing outside of the cart while the drivers is tracking straight. Here's pics but hard to see from a pic.

I tried doing the toe after that to see if it fixed itself but the bar that connects the two ball joints has no nut-like surface to turn it. How do you turn this thing when it's completely smooth?

Back off both nuts and turn the bar,shaft that runs between the two sides. You may need to use pipe wrench or vise grips, this is to set the tow.

Yeah that's what I did but couldn't get anything to turn...letting them soak in wd-40 overnight. The jamb nuts had some rust on them as well so I'm thinking it might be froze a bit. (that and its 94 degrees and 80% humidity in my garage so 1hour of working and theres a pool on the ground!)
