Camber adjust on super sport 6" all sports lift??
Is it just me or do I really have to take the spindles off in order to adjust the upper/lower ball joints for camber on this kit?
And do I set the camber to be perpendicular to the ground or do I have it lean in some amount (top of tires inward toward centerline of cart) - if so how much (this is a pavement queen). |

I have done many at 0 camber and 1/8 - 1/4" toe in. You should be able to adjust your camber by the two lock nuts, you'll see one by the spindle and the other should be under the arm. Hope that helps!

Re: Camber adjust on super sport 6" all sports lift??
With the alsport lift, adjust the top helm joints out about 1/8-1/4 more than the top when you do the install. Then you will be able to set the camber with the bottom helm joints I like the top to be out about 1/8 inch. That way when you load the cart they spread as you roll at the bottom to make the wheels pretty much straight up and down.

The top has to be adjusted with the joint mount bolt out when installing. The bottom can be adjusted with wheels on the ground.

maybe a difference between the 4" and 6" lift. this is adjustable top and bottom but you have to turn the whole heim/ball and to do that you have to disconnect it from the spindle.

Re: Camber adjust on super sport 6" all sports lift??
Is this for a Precedent?
Because my DS 4" Super Sport lift has threaded heim joints top and bottom, and you HAVE to remove the heim from the spindle to spin it out for adjustment, In turn... you cant do either the top or bottom with the tires on the ground! (Without a jack supporting the cart) or am I missing something here? |

That's right. I jack my cart, remove bolt, remove joint, loosen locknut, adjust, tighten locknut,re install.
If someone knows a better way , please share. |
