Cart quit in reverse and now won't run

I backed out my 1994, put it in forward and it quit. Batteries are in good shape (tester said they were good anyway, only 2 years old with low usage) and solenoid also checked out. Cables are all in good shape and clean. The forward/reverse lever is making good contact. Any ideas on what to check?

I'm guessing your car is 36v DS?? If so yeah when your batteries get low it effects the forward and reverse depending on if your car is a series or regen, and I think yours is a series. Does it have resistor metal coils behind the batteries?

yes we need the volts and if is a controller cart or resistor (coil) cart

Hey crashtestdummy I was in zephyrhills last year, seems like a quiet town. And believe it or not I was at an event and they gave me free cases of zephy water lol

No coils. It is a 36V. I hear a single click from the solenoid when I push the excellarater. Now think it might be the solenoid. Any thoughts?

ok it has a controller then, jack up the rear wheels and take a large gauge wire like a battery cable, and go across the two large terminals on the solenoid, if there is a little spark dont be concerned. but while holding it there have someone press the pedal for you (unless you can do it yourself) and see if it works

also check micro switches on the forward/reverse lever, also most problems start at the batteries...make double sure your batteries are ok
