Squeaking Brakes...kinda
I have the stock rear drum brakes on my DS. After putting the lift and 23" tires on it - it's noticeably harder to stop - as expected with the larger tires/weight.
Today though I noticed as it came to a complete stop there's that little eerrrk sound - like if your in your car and you don't take your foot off the brake all the way and it starts to roll - that irritating noise. Normal/OK/to be expected/replace pads??? Thanks for insight. |

Your axle may be turning. Check the U bolts reset the axle and tighten the U bolts good if it has moved.

How tight should the bolts be...that's one thing that frustrates me with all the information/instructions for things - lift kits, etc. they just say tighten. Well tighten to one person and tighten to someone that goes to the gym 2 times a day (example here not me) are two different things. I wish they put torque measurements out there. |

Oh - and I only noticed the noise when there was two adults in the cart - assuming the added weight did it...not sure if that helps diagnose or not?

Tilted forward? As in the front of the block is lower than the rear? Wouldn't this actually tighten the brake cable, since the cable is mounted under the axle tube rotating it this way would make the distance from the bottom of the body/frame to the brake cable plate farther... Am I misunderstanding something? |

Re: Squeaking Brakes...kinda
I'm sorry, I mistyped.
Tilited back so that the brake assemblies are closer to the front of the cart. I was thinking in reference to my cart, which has the brake-flip mod (brake assemblies on top). |
