What trailer hitch do I need ????
I need to drag a utility trailer around the yard and not sure what hitch to buy.
I'll glady buy from one of the site vendors... just don't know what will fit. The rear seat step is 12-3/4" deep. Thanks in advance ! ART |

Re: What trailer hitch do I need ????
Madjax has one, I installed it as part of a rear grab bar. Can install just the hitch if you want. The hitch comes missing the ball so you can choose the best one for your application. I've pulled an empty dual axle boat trailer around with the Madjax hitch I've got.

Re: What trailer hitch do I need ????
Thanks CTD. We've actually got another one now that's a little bit less expensive than that. It comes with the insert and the pin. You'll have to call me for details on it. Haven't had a chance to upload it to the site yet.

Re: What trailer hitch do I need ????
Thanks guys !
I'm 'gonna poke around under the cart and look for ideas. I'm not real thrilled with the idea of hanging any weight off the rear step. I won't be hauling any RV's or boats... but we occasionally have the cart trailer loaded pretty heavy with firewood or heavy stones. I may go with something frame mounted and add a short extension to get the hole past the step. If i wasn't so burned out every day after work... i'd just fab one up myself. Thanks again ! |

Re: What trailer hitch do I need ????
That steel step is pretty strong on a DS. It's bolted directly to the bumper ears that are part of the frame. The steel arm rails tie it together into the main seat frame assembly which is also bolted to the frame of the cart. It's pretty solid.
