85 Club Car 36v - Need new charger advice!
Hey everyone,
As the subject line says, I have an 85 36v club car. It runs great and I have no issues with it except I don't have a real good charger for it. Right now the only "charger" I have is a "Save-A-Battery 36v Charger and maintainer LINK I think that chager is good for maintaining the life of my batteries, but it obviously charges REALLY slow. I also don't seem to get as strong of a charge with it as I did the previous Lestronics or even Stanley 12-48v auto charger. The problem I had with the previous 2 is they got wet, I kept them under the roof but I overestimated how weather resistant they really are. They both ended up no longer working and I am stuck with the little "save-a-battery" thing. All that to say, I need a new charger but I don't want it to suffer the same fate as the previous 2. Ideally I'd like one I can mount onto the cart itself. However it must do a good job of giving it a nice strong charge as well as doing it somewhat fast. I don't use the cart every day and the batteries are less than 2 years old and not used much. What do you recommend? A new lestronic is out of the budget, need to keep it around $100. |

You need to up the funds. That amount will not get you what you need unless you find someone willing to give you one.

hey,
hmm I understand you want a charger under $100 but I dont know if it will perform the way you want it. If you want a good quality brand charger it may be difficult for you to obtain one under 100 In fact im not even familiar with golf car chargers under 100 never seen one before -steve |
