Default Best charger for 48 volt Club Car

I own a 99 Club Car running on 48 Volts. I've struggled with battery issues. Mainly because I don't use it enough. I want to resurrect it because my daughter will be learning to drive soon.

I want a charger that will charge as well as maintain. In hopes that it will preserve the batteries longer. What do you all suggest? I'm not going to say that money is no object, but it would be nice to stay under $300.00 The cart rig now is not a highest priority on our budget list.

I was just about to create a thread on the best charger but I know to do a search first. After a few tries I found this thread. So the dpi is the "best" charger period or the best one for the money? I need to buy a charger for my club car too and I really don't have a budget. I just want one that's going to possibly assist in maintaining my batteries and help to last longer.

Buy the 17 Amp DPI Accusense Charger meant for carts without an OBC; their is a a very easy to do wiring change needed but after that your golden. My batteries are 2 plus years old and have really only known the DPI charger and to this day they even after a 2 mile hilly run they hold better than 100 % SOC and have YET to need any water added despite being charger 24/7 when not in use...

Will this charger plug into my factory receptacle? Where do I find info on the rewire? I don't like having an obc anyway. It seems to limit how much the batteries are charged to an inaccurate point. I reset it and my batts fully charge but after a few cycles it's short charging again.
