2006 club car ds charging issue rectifier
i posted before about my charger blowing. Well after eliminating as much as I could here is what I'm dealing with. I blew two different chargers. After redoing each charger I got them both working with the kit that contains switch, rectifier, etc. my buddies charger still works but when I charged my cart again it charged and when I came back a few hours later it was dead again. So I ordered another charger repair kit. I started with the switch replaced it and still just clicked. Charger did not come on. So I then replaced the rectifier plugged it in again and charger came on for about 10 seconds and then blew again. So it has to be something in the cart that is blowing the rectifier??? Any ideas from anyone would be helpful??

Check voltage at charge plug. Check wires from charge plug, make sure they are not contacting frame.
Does charger work on another cart? |

Yes it worked on another cart. When I plugged the other charger into my cart is also blew my friends charger as well. I checked all the battery wires to make sure they were correct.

As Mrgolf suggested, take a voltage reading at the + and - charger receptacle socket.
It does sound like you have the positive charger wire connected to the wrong battery post. |
