Default Can the brake lock on a preedent be repaired?

I'm trying hard to not spend $300.+ on a new pedal assembly. I have a 2010 Precedent and the pedal assembly under the floor board is pretty rusty. Everything works as it should, but it is frequently difficult to get the parking brake mechanism to lock in. I may have to push it 3-10 time before it catches.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

if its really rusty, and starting to be hard to set the brake, you might not have another choice but to replace it . unless there is a fix, but with rust there usually isn't. if your lucky you may need a new pawl assembly that you can get for decent money

It depends on which pedal assembly you have. Take a look at the pictures near the bottom of the page of this link I'm sending you and identify your pedal assembly and I'll point you in the right direction.

David- The only link I found was to your website. Didn't see any pedal assembly listed. Did I miss it? Thanks.
