Lets establish which 48v motor you have. Is it series or sepex?
Are all 4 terminals the same size? Marked A1,A2 and S1,S2 = series motor
4 Terminals 2 different sizes marked F1,F2 and A1, A2 = sepex motor

I am 99.9% certain that I have a series. If i remember correctly All 4 are the same size. I will verify later today.

I ask because Ezgo may not have a series 48v motor that I recall.
We have drive systems for either motor but you should read this here and get a basic understanding of both drive systems to know which system suits your project needs. Go here > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/tech-help-upgrades.html

And then please google the motor make and model so we can be sure what you have.

scottyb, does my throttle potentiometer look like it will work with a main contactor and speed controller that you sell? and if so, how much I am looking at spending? You can email me if that is better. Tazdad08@icloud.com

Club Car series motor with 0-5k potentiometer throttle signal. You have 2 choices.
FSIP makes a GE 500a unit. It's a simple control with pot adjustments for throttle rate and max output for about $450 with HD solenoid.
Alltrax offers an advanced programmable 500 SR48500 with cooling fan, reverse polarity protection, user program software, and switch on the fly for user set speed and acceleration limits. for $536 with a super-duty 400 solenoid.

Hey Scottyb, will my throttle assembly work with either setup that you priced me? We have a scout budget meeting and I wanted to make sure that I am relaying the proper information.

Okay I found this per your private message request and here is my recommendation.

It looks like we established you have a club car series motor. But we don't know what throttle signal you have 0-5k or 5k-0 and there is going to be some inexperienced trial and error type installation. I STRONGLY suggest your club not waste their money and on something cheap or fragile. I suggest the Alltrax SR48500 control and 400 super solenoid. This control can easily be programmed for either throttle type, it has reverse polarity protection, a built in cooling fan, and 2 yr MADE in the USA warranty. PKG 485 for $536

Thank you for asking
