sepex wiring help

I built an electric trackless train for scout use. I made it with an EZ Go motor, throttle, and old style solenoid set up. I just bought a Club Car 48volt parts cart. I am new to the golf cart world. It has a harness coming from the center of the motor...I believe that it is a Sepex style. I have the controller, OBC, motor, and throttle pedal. I need some advice on how to make this work. I have 3 wiring harness ends that are not hooked to anything. I also do not have a forward/reverse switch. I am sure that one of these harnesses are for that purpose. I really don't care what I do or do not have to use from this donor cart. I just wanted to use an electronic controller so that I would have smoother acceleration. What is the purpose of the Sepex design? I am in auto parts. I do have common sense about mechanical and electrical systems but this is completely out of my comfort zone.

The SEPEX design was engineered for moving people around the neighborhood. SERIES drive would have been a better choice for your project.
You will have to download the wire diagram for the year cart you have and follow it. There really aren't too many too many parts you won't use if you have the OEM charger.

The likelihood of a successful project will very much depend upon the loads placed on the system. What does this train weigh and what degree or percentage are the inclines.

The train weighs around 700 pounds. Mostly flat ground. we plan to use it for parades and birthday parties. My ez go 48volt motor is fine. I just wanted to delete the 8 solenoids and have better dependability. I do not have a cart charger at all, I use a standard automotive charger and I unhook and charge each battery individually. Pain, but in the budget. lol... It won't hurt my feelings if you say that I have something that is worthless for my project. If so, I may sell what I have and find a compatible controller and throttle for my motor

You need to start by identifying the drive system in the donor cart, see below

My donor is in pieces. I do have the harness coming from the motor. The IBC says Lester Electronics. I will do some better identifying once I am home with the donor. I was really hoping to get to use the controller and throttle and just give the rest away....

I understand but every drive system has its required components and they are not all the same. Can you ID the control?

I will get the controller info tonight. Here are the three connectors that are lose. I am not sure what is missing, or even needed to operate the motor. I thought about hooking up the batteries and pressing the pedal but I didnt want to risk damage to anything.

From what I can find, I have a 1998 or 1999 Club Car 48 volt Regen but I haven't found the "Powder Regen" box mounted anywhere on my donor

Scotty, it's a Regen2. I can tell by the part number on the OBC.
