Solenoid closing then immediately opening
I have an 06 48volt club car precedent. The batteries have been tested and are good. When I press the throttle the solenoid closes then it immediately opens back up. The car does not try to move. Any thoughts!

Re: Solenoid closing then immediately opening
Welcome to bgw.
The voltage may be dropping under load causing the solenoid to drop out or disengage. Put the meter on the pack at watch the voltage when you try to go. |

Re: Solenoid closing then immediately opening
He means to put the multi meter on the battery pack to measure the total battery voltage of all the batteries together. If the total voltage is too low, the cart will do as you describe. Check the voltage and post your results and we'll go from there.

Re: Solenoid closing then immediately opening
Sorry. Batteries tested good(brand new Trojan batteries not two months old). They are at 50.2 volts. Another thing is the resistor on the big terminals of the solenoid got very hot and burnt the insulation covering the resistor.
