Not True!!! Regen is harder on the motor for sure. Normal brakes dissipate the energy as heat. Regen pumps most of it back into the batteries but the motor is only about 80% efficient so 20% of that energy goes into heating the motor.

Speed 1 through 3 are adjustable from about 4 to 15mph while 4 is up to 19. Not unlike the 1206HB. I havent played with clubcar as much but as similarly as its set up and with all modes having full mph range I'd guess there would be some differance between them as far as regen.
