How can the motor braking be disengaged on a 2010 club car precedent?

Replace controller with Alltrax. It has programmed options including regen braking.

You can take it to a Club Car dealer and have it reprogrammed for no regen. Or you can add a speed magnet. Or you can upgrade to a Bandit motor.

Stock clubcar curtis controls (assuming thats what this is) cant have regen reprogrammed....at least not with the equipment a dealer would have.

The best bet would be a high speed magnet or controller change to one that has more programming versatility.

I'm going on memory from six years ago. I didn't want the regen so I took it back to the dealer. They either removed it or turned it down so low that you couldn't notice it.

Jjance you are correct. It can be programmed to strong or very soft to none.

I really like Regen on my cart. It adds to your range and you just have to get used to modulating the pedal to control the amount you get. I can slow down and corner on roads without using the brakes most of the time and that energy is going back into my battery pack.

Healthier for the motor too, its going to generate that energy either way, may as well do something with it.

Oh..right forgot about the speed code setting. 1~4 would be coastal, mild, steep. Low -> High Regen. These are still somewhat preset values, a different control however would allow finer tuning, but if you just want it OFF, then set it to coastal or freedom.

I was just looking for actual current percentages.
