Alltrax and Club CAr Help
I ordered an Alltrax SR48500 controller and upgraded motor for a 97 Club Car. This weekend is the first chance I have had to attempt to install it. Being weekend and holiday, it will be Tuesday before I can talk to the place I bought it or Alltrax for support. I am hoping to work on it some more tonight and Monday.
I have the wiring diagram, but their had already been some modification and controller swap on this cart. I bought it dead. I am somewhat familiar with wiring but I am not sure of a couple connections with this wiring diagram. Below the motor in this diagram, their is a symbol of something that doesn't exist on this cart. It is the part with A2 M- and S2 and S1. Also my fwd/rev switch is a small rocker switch, not a large contactor type. I am uncertain about the wires coming off of this switch. The center is a common supply. The blue wire comes off the reverse side so I assume it goes to the "Blue - Reverse" terminal on the Alltrax. The White wire coming off the fwd selection side, I have no idea where it goes... I guess on simple way to ask all this is to state this... OBC eliminated, motor and controller new, Club Car 3-wire Resistor type foot control with micro switch, toggle style (Double Pole, Double throw, with Neutral center position) fwd/rev switch, HD relay, key switch and a buzzer. Is there a generic wiring schematic I can use for this combination of parts? HELP!! http://www.alltraxinc.com/files/DOC1...S-WIRE-DIA.pdf |

Re: Alltrax and Club CAr Help
If I was thinking out loud I would think that somebody converted your cart to a sepex cart. But you ordered parts for a series cart. Does your motor have a pig tail cable coming out the back? Pictures would help. Can you see a part number for the original motor or controller?

The new motor does not have a pigtail. The one that was on it did. I forgot that. The guy I bought the cart from ordered me the motor and controller.
