Default Voltage Reducer and 12V Rocker Switch

My Wetsounds 6 and Voltage Reducer from diygolfcart.com and my Mictuning Lighted Rocker Switch (LS083601) from Amazon should all be arriving this afternoon. I have done various wiring projects before so not a complete noob but I don't want to do something real stupid given the cost of the equipment so I have a couple of questions.

1. I believe the Voltage Reducer can get hot so I was thinking of attaching it to the battery side of the metal plate that holds the OBC. So it will be in the battery compartment. it may be too tight and I will be careful not to screw into the OBC or any of the wiring on the back side. Bad idea? I also thought about the front frame near the firewall but I'm not sure how to get access to that area. I see how the front cosmetic piece comes off but I'm not sure about the black under panel.

2. Can someone provide a quick schematic on how to wire all of this up. I wil follow the instruction on the diygolfcart.com website for the voltage reducer but I'm a little fuzzy on the wiring from the voltage reducer to the key switch and lighted rocker switch to power the Wetsounds 6 so any help there would be appreciated.

I'm new to the Club Car world so any help would be greatly appreciated. With this sites help I was able to already install a hidden kill switch tied to the key switch. I live in a golf community with plenty of golf carts to pick from so I just wanted to make mine a little less "user" friendly in case someone wanted to walk off with mine.

Thank you.

as far as being easy to get to, why worry. Run to a fuse block from reducer and forget about it. Fuse block is small and can go to a nice central location.

Which reducer did you get? Some have a keyed power on others are constant on and you have to put the switch or relay between the battery and the reducer. With the other just connect the wire to the key output and that will turn it on, or in your case key output to rocker to key wire.

Make sure to put a fuse between the bat and reducer and one between the output and each item

Just finished the install and it works perfectly. Instead of running the wires from the battery compartment to the front under the car, I picked up the floor mat and there an unused channel down the middle. Worked perfectly.
